OBJECTIVES This seminar will cover an update on Education Law & cases including:
- Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act - Operation of the Act; Duties of EA's, Rights of Parents, Codes of Practice; the ASN Tribunal, Mediation & Dispute Resolution
- Update on Education Law & Disability Discrimination (Education) cases
PARTICIPANTS This seminar will be of interest to everyone concerned by education whether they be teachers, managers of education services, solicitors acting for local authorities or for children and/or their parents or indeed anyone concerned by law and policy in this area. An understanding of the basic structure of the law will be assumed.
