OBJECTIVES This seminar will look at the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contract Regulations 1999 along with the role of both the Office of Fair Trading and local enforcement authorities.
PARTICIPANTS This seminar is aimed at anyone giving civil advice to businesses, consumers and other buyers in relation to contract terms in Scotland. It will be of interest to participants from the statutory, voluntary or private advice sectors.
SPEAKER The speaker is Alan Adams, Alpha Targeted Training. Mr. Adams was involved in trading standards work in a senior capacity for over 25 years. His expertise is in civil consumer law and small claims.
