OBJECTIVES This course is designed to assist lay representatives in preparing and/or defending a small claim. Now that the limits have been raised it is likely that both statutory and voluntary agencies will be asked for assistance with these actions more often. Participants will cover the Small Claims Rules and associated legislation and will participate in exercises and case studies.
PARTICIPANTS Advisers from the statutory and voluntary sectors who are either new to small claims or wish to have their knowledge refreshed.
SPEAKER The speaker is Alan Adams, Alpha Targeted Training. Mr. Adams was involved in trading standards work in a senior capacity for over 25 years. His expertise is in civil consumer law and small claims.
