OBJECTIVES Quantification of damages is becoming more sophisticated; knowing what you are doing can make a difference of thousands of pounds, as many more heads of claim emerge. Practitioners require to be well aware as to what heads of claim are available for their clients in order to avoid claims against them. The seminar aims to look at the up-to-date law and promote discussion among both speakers and delegates.
PARTICIPANTS The seminar will be of most benefit to solicitors with some experience of reparation work in the Sheriff Court, but will also be of interest to others, whether solicitors, advocates, para-legals or advice workers involved in the civil justice system.
SPEAKERS The speakers panel comprises some of the most experienced practitioners in Scotland. They will comment in detail on recent case law but with a decidedly practical bent.
