Jean McFadden, CBE, DL, M.A, LL.B
Convenor of the Board of Directors.   Jean McFadden served at a high level for many years as an elected member of Glasgow City Council with experience as Leader of the Council, City Treasurer and Convener of its Education Committee.  She is the first woman to be President of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities. She has extensive involvement in community issues.   She has variously been a teacher of Classics and a legal academic at the University of Strathclyde with interests in public law.  She has policy involvement having been the Convener of the McFadden Committee on Scottish charity law reform

Willie Croft
Company Secretary.   Willie has worked at a senior level in both Local Authorities and Housing Associations for a number of years. He has interests in all areas of policy but has a particular interest in energy efficiency in houses, eliminating fuel poverty and dampness, as well as the sustainable use of energy. Willie was also one of the first specialist Money Advisors in Scotland.

Paul D. Brown
Director.  Paul Brown has been Principal Solicitor and a member of the Board of LSA since 1989. His interests include housing law, criminal injuries compensation and legal policy issues.

Barrie Levine
Director.   Barry Levine is an academic in the Social Work field.   His background includes family social work, addiction services, HIV and AIDs, supported accommodation, homelessness and young peoples’ rights in the care sector.

Carol Scott
Director.   Carol is a Welfare Rights Officer with a particular interest in those suffering from a cancer diagnosis.   She works at Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre in Glasgow.

Garry Burns

Yvonne Finlayson
Yvonne heads up Business Development for the Government and Public Sector Team in a Professional Services firm. She is responsible for building networks, competitive tendering and coaching. Prior to this role she has worked in senior positions in the public and private sectors and has been a trustee of 2 charities, latterly as Vice-Chair.  In addition to her trustee role Yvonne also works with disadvantaged young people to help them find routes to employment.

Chris Lansdell
Chris’s background is in marketing and business development, with particular emphasis in recent years on the charity sector.  In 2011 he founded, along with two others, ACM Solutions Ltd, to  provide software, consultancy and training to charities and voluntary bodies, local government authorities, housing associations, law centres and academic bodies throughout the UK. It was a finalist at the 2017/18 Go Awards Scotland for suppliers working with the Scottish public sector. From 2001 to 2004 he was an honorary lecturer at Stirling University and a member of the University’s Advisory Panel on the development of postgraduate courses.
