SPEAKER The speaker is Scott Blair, Advocate. Scott is listed in the UK Legal 500 as a leading junior counsel in public law. Licensing law is a major part of his work. He has recently been invited to join the Licensing Law Sub-Committee of the Law Society of Scotland. He advises and appears for applicants, licence holders, objectors and Licensing Boards. He has acted in numerous appeals and judicial reviews arising from licensing decisions. He acted in the recent successful challenge to the policy of the City of Glasgow Licensing Board to seriously restrict the use of glass in licensed premises and in the successful challenge to price controls imposed by City of Aberdeen Licensing Board. He is widely published in the public law field and is a regular contributor to Scottish Licensing Law and Practice.
