OBJECTIVES LSA have over the past ten or eleven years run an annual certificated course in employment law.  This course is intended to cater for an "intermediate" audience who either intend to or are already dealing with contentious and non-contentious areas of employment law and participation in the preparation and conduct of employment tribunals.

The speakers will cover four of the most common areas of employment law which are argued before Employment Tribunals in Scotland.  Each presentation will cover the basic substantive law relevant to the particular area, making reference to Human Rights, and then look at how an advisor acting for an Applicant or Respondent should best argue their case with some useful insight and practical tips.

PARTICIPANTS This seminar is aimed at advisers whether they be solicitors, trade union representatives or advice givers who have some significant experience and who wish to enhance their skills and their knowledge.

SPEAKERS The speakers all have many years experience in both theory and practice.  They include Bill Templeton, RPL Employment Law, Employment Relations Consultant; Chris McDowall, Associate and Lizzy Kell, Solicitor both at Anderson Strathern, Solicitors, Glasgow and Edinburgh; Alison Locke, Senior Solicitor and Anna MacGregor, Solicitor both at Brodies, Solicitors, Glasgow and Peter O'Donnell, Thompsons, Solicitors, Glasgow & Chairman, Scottish Employment Rights Network.
