Our Defended Eviction Project is intended to help anyone who faces the loss of their home. It will seek to ensure that all tenants and homeowners have full and proper access to information, advice and representation relating to their rights when facing eviction actions.
Help for Tenants
Glasgow Sheriff Court - Eviction Advice desk and representation
- Provides initial advice and representation
- Available to all tenants involved in cases at Glasgow Sheriff Court
- Advice desk available every Tuesday (when court is sitting)
- Staffed by experienced LSA staff
- Position close to actual courtroom
Help to Home Owners
- The Mortgage Rights (Scotland) Act 2001 creates new rights for homeowners to defend eviction proceedings
- LSA's project is aimed at homeowners wishing to use this new right
- Initial advice provided free of charge
