OBJECTIVES The Objectives are:
- To present recent research on child trafficking in Glasgow
- To discuss specialist services in respect of child trafficking which already exist in the UK
- To share learning and experiences and to network
- To discuss issues around, age assessment, guardianship, legal safeguards and learning from services for adult survivors of trafficking through specialist workshops
PARTICIPANTS This seminar is relevant for a number of professionals working with children who would like to learn more about the phenomenon of child trafficking in Scotland and the UK. For example, legal representatives, the police, social workers, key workers, central government staff, members of the Children's Panel Administration, Child Protection Committees, health service staff, counsellors, advice, support and advocacy workers, NGOs and Refugee Community Organisations working with the above client group.
